  1. Very Good, Not preachy or overblown. I like the narrative Vs. the list approach. The expression of a muttually beneficial enviornment was nice as well.

  2. A great aspect of your organization's focus on social media in the paper is the warnings that are clearly delivered about how to utilize social media sites properly. In order for organizations to leverage the value of social media sites it is integral to ensure employees do not make any statements that will harm the organizations reputation. It is important for all social media users to remember the fact that what they post on the Internet is there for everyone to view and form an opinion on. Thus, it is imperative to always think about the potential thoughts your posts will elicit in the mind's of your viewers.

  3. I really liked your paper. I came away knowing what your stance is. I also know that your company will be using social media to communicate with its outside customers, not just within the company itself, which is something mine probably wouldn't do.

  4. Good paper, Alan! I agree with you on the security issues. I think they are the main reason why most companies are hesitant to join the social media and take advantage of it!

  5. Great white paper, Alan. Clear explanation of how the company plans to use social media sites both externally and internally and for what purposes. Good reminder to employees about comments related to their employment on their own personal sites. Well done.

  6. I think it is incredibly important/valuable how you addressed the potential dangers/risks associated with utilizing social media. All too often people only think and hear about the benefits that result from using social media. Employees must be careful and ensure that they do not make any statements that may be harmful or detrimental to an organization. One point that you made that stuck out to me was, “If you identify yourself as a company employee, the public may assume that your views are consistent with company policy so you need to be transparent in stating that your opinions are your own.” I have seen and heard on instances like this before. Often times, because an employee is proud of the company they work they identify themselves accordingly when making a remark that ends up hurting the company later on. People need to realize that utilizing social media will only be effective if we steer away from its dangers.
